Cara Quinn wrote about the app below in one of her messages to the viPhone Google group. This really peeked my interest; hopefully, it will entise yours as well.

BrainBaths, an iPhone app, is a combination of extremely good binaural audio soundscapes and a binaural beat frequency generator for brain entrainment.

What this means, (for those whom may not be familiar with such apps) is that the sounscapes in this app can have tones added to them (at your discretion) to cause your brain to go into certain states of mind. I.E. alpha, theta or delta. etc. These states can help you sleep, wake up, meditate, relax, or simply think more clearly.

Part of the reason for using binaural soundscapes along with binaural beat frequencies is so that one can get a sense of separation from one's environment so your mind can relax more easily. I.E. rather than sensing the ambience of the room you're in, you actually get the sense of real ambience of perhaps an outside space and you can more easily settle into that. It's like creating / having your own little world to be in for a while.
